The Langer Heinrich Mine is located in the west of central Namibia, southern Africa. It lies 80km east of the major deepwater port at Walvis Bay and the coastal town of Swakopmund. Swakopmund, the nearest town to Langer Heinrich Uranium, is approximately 1 hour's drive to the minesite.
Since Langer Heinrich Mine is located in a national park, very strict rules apply to visitors wanting to visit the mine. People may only visit the mine by prior appointment. Such appointments can be made by submitting a written request to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Visitors entering the park need to comply with the park rules of the Namib Naukluft Park. They should also familiarise themselves with the requirements set by Langer Heinrich Mine.
Travelling to Swakopmund, Namibia
The major international airports in Namibia are located in Walvis Bay, 35km south of Swakopmund, and Windhoek, 280km east of Swakopmund. Air Namibia and South African Airways run regular flights in and out of Walvis Bay and Windhoek, connecting with Johannesburg and Cape Town. Flights are also available between Walvis Bay and Windhoek.
