Government of Malawi Published Responses to Allegations about Kayelekera Mine

On 28 May 2015, Paladin Energy Limited received a letter from two Australian journalists representing the Washington DC-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) requesting replies to questions on various topics relating to the operations of the Company’s Kayelekera Mine in Malawi.  Paladin responded on 8 June 2015.  On 2 July 2015, the Company was informed that six questions submitted to Paladin by a Namibian journalist in relation to the Company’s Langer Heinrich Mine in Namibia were also part of the ICIJ study.  Paladin provided responses to these questions on 8 July 2015.   ICIJ has subsequently published a report on its website and has included, to a limited degree, information provided to ICIJ by the company.  In the interests of probity and transparency,  Paladin hereby publishes ICIJ’s letter and our complete responses as a matter of public record.  In replying to ICIJ’s questionnaire, Paladin advised ICIJ that it reserved the right to do so.
