Approximately 60 under five year olds attend the child care project daily. They participate in lessons and games and are given a bowl of soya porridge. This is a nutritious meal which, for the majority, will be their only meal of the day. Most of these children are AIDs orphans and are being cared for by their older siblings who are only teenagers themselves.
FEPAC provided the monthly costs of running this facility from January 2011 to June 2017 after the introduction of self-sustaining maize milling and rice growing projects. Recent reports (May 2018) reveal that the projects are being well managed and are achieving their sustaining objectives.
